2016 Y2I Program Requirements


Y2I is more than just a trip, it is an adventure.  Program requirements prepare teens and parents for the Israel experience by engaging them in meaningful experiences that enrich the Y2I adventure.  In order to participate in Y2I, which costs the Foundation $6,285 per teen, and to receive the free community trip to Israel, teens and parents are required to fulfill the following 2016 Y2I Program Requirements:

  1. Complete application online
  2. Submit fees by due dates (Checks should be made payable to Lappin Foundation)
  3. Submit required documents to complete application packet
  4. Attend pre and post trip meetings (Teens & Parents)
  5. Interview with Deborah Coltin, Y2I Director (Teens)
  6. 10 Hours of Community Service (Teens), at least five hours for the Jewish community
  7. Pre and post trip surveys and evaluation (Teens)
  8. Write post trip reflective essay (Teens)

*Exceptions to the requirements are considered.  Exceptions must be made in writing to Deborah Coltin, Executive Director.  In order to receive the $500 refundable deposit, teens and parents are expected to fulfill the requirements of Y2I.
