Criteria – 2020 Youth to Israel Adventure (Y2I)

To qualify for 2020 Y2I, teen must:

  1. Be Jewish, consider themselves to be Jewish, and be raised exclusively in the Jewish faith. The Foundation warmly welcomes teens of interfaith families to 2020 Y2I. More than 40 percent of 2019 Y2I teens were from interfaith families. If you need further clarification, contact Sharon Wyner, at 978-565-4450 or  Out of respect for traditional Jewish beliefs, Messianic Jews do not qualify for the Y2I program.
  1. Be a sophomore or junior in high school as of September 1, 2019.
  1. Permanently reside in or be a member of a temple in Lappin Foundation’s service area:   Amesbury, Beverly, Boxford, Byfield, Danvers, Essex, Georgetown, Gloucester, Groveland, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynn, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Merrimac, Middleton, Nahant, Newbury, Newburyport, Peabody, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Salisbury, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield, Wenham and West Newbury. A limited number of spots are available for Jewish teens who live in CJP’s service area, including Greater Boston and Metro West, thanks to a generous funder.
  1. Complete the program requirements of the 2020 Y2I program.
